Take a stand against bottling in the Columbia River Gorge
Sign this petition to tell Governor Kitzhaber to reject a permit that would allow Nestlé to bottle Oregon’s water.
Governor Kitzhaber is the one person with the power to advise the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to pull out of a water exchange process that would lead to a give-away of state water resources for Nestlé’s profit. He can send a clear message to Nestlé that Oregon’s water belongs to the people, not to private corporations for profit.
As an Oregonian I strongly believe that the Columbia River Gorge is no place for a Nestlé water bottling facility. I sign below to request that you advise the Oregon Water Resource Department to deny water exchange application 11109 associated with the proposed Nestlé water bottling facility in the Gorge.
I also request that you advise the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to retract the applications it has submitted that will lead to a giveaway of Oregon's water for a Nestlé water bottling plant in the Columbia River Gorge.
